Burglary resistance

European standard EN 1143-1

The level of burglary resistance of safes, strong doors, and strong rooms is governed by the European standard EN 1143-1, which classifies their resistance on a scale from 0 to VI for safes, and from VI to XI for strong doors and strong rooms.
The protection class determines the ability to resist manual attacks with tools ranging from a simple screwdriver to a diamond grinder. The higher the class of the safe (with class VI being the maximum security level), the greater its capacity to withstand attacks of high intensity and significant duration.

A2P tests and certification

Our products undergo the most rigorous tests, certified A2P by the European laboratory of CNPP. To achieve this, we have integrated a Fichet Bauche laboratory within our factory and created conditions even more stringent than the certifying bodies to push the limits further. The installation is entirely carried out by our technicians to validate the certification of a safe.

A benchmark for insurers

This classification system for the resistance of the safe is crucial because the contents of a safe will only be insured for their correct value if the safe is certified for the grade required by the insurer.

Certification: a guarantee for you

The certification is a voluntary action, allowing verification through tests of the burglary resistance of our safes and strong cabinets.
Choosing a certified safe is your guarantee of protecting your cash and your goods or valuable items within a storage unit with a very high level of burglary resistance.

What is A2P?

A2P is a certification mark meaning ‘Assurance Prévention Protection’ and was registered in 1985. Issued by CNPP following tests evaluating the resistance of protection equipment against burglary, as well as an audit of the manufacturing site of the equipment. This certification ensures you a quality product, manufactured according to controlled and mastered processes.
Certifié resistant aux explosions

What is the purpose of explosive resistance?

The “explosive” certification option carried by some high-security safes ensures that they maintain their level of burglary resistance, even in the event of a solid explosive attack. This marking guarantees that you have one of the safest and most resistant products on the market. It is recognized by the “EX” marking mentioned on the plate.

How can you recognise a certified product?

The certified safes are recognizable by the labels engraved on a metal plate that is visibly affixed to each safe. In our case, it bears the A2P label.

Fire resistance

Fire resistance standards apply to two types of objects:
Paper documents capable of withstanding a temperature of 170°C
Digital media (floppy disks, CDs, DVDs, computers, etc.) degrade at temperatures as low as 50°C.
In addition, all computer media are sensitive to humidity, and a relative humidity of over 85% can be fatal.

European standard EN 15659 (paper)

The European standard EN 15659 only considers the protection of paper documents.
This standard is intended for safes or strong cabinets designed to provide limited protection and are meant to be installed in a protected environment.

European standard EN 1047-1 (paper and digital)

The European standard EN1047-1 is much stricter and is designed to ensure maximum protection against various critical risks: the ingress of a fire into a room, destruction of a building, and maintaining high heat after a fire.
It aims to guarantee fire resistance for a minimum duration for both paper documents and digital media.

ECB-S testing and certification

Our products undergo the most rigorous tests, certified ECB-S by ECB-S. To achieve this, we have integrated a Fichet Bauche laboratory within our factory and created conditions even more stringent than the certifying bodies to push the limits further.

Certification: A guarantee of security

Once again, certification is a voluntary action, allowing verification through tests of the fire resistance of our safes and strong cabinets.
Choosing a certified safe or strong cabinet ensures effective protection for your paper documents and digital media against fire.

What is ECB-S?

The German institute ECB-S is a certification body for safes, fireproof and anti-burglary cabinets. The ECB-S label is synonymous with a quality guarantee for security products such as safes, fireproof cabinets, secure spaces, and security locks.

How can you recognise a certified product?

Certified safes are recognizable by labels engraved on a metal plate that is visibly affixed to each safe. The ECB-S label in our case, the metal plate is located inside the door.
